Composition

Rye Gold turf contains perennial ryegrass, which is known for its toughness and resilience. Able to grow in clumps and recover quickly after wear, it’s small wonder that this grass species is used for sports pitches.

Additionally, we use two varieties of red fescue, a fine-leaved, low-maintenance grass which spreads slowly through underground rhizomes, filling in gaps for a dense, even lawn. Plus, it bolsters the shade tolerance and softens the texture, and its colour creates a deeper, richer shade of green across the garden.

Coverage and Delivery Information

All our turfs are supplied in easy-to-lay rolls, covering approx. 1m² each (approx. roll size: 1.7m x 0.6m). All turf is pre-treated with a liquid fertiliser before harvesting to give it a strong, healthy start. This replaces any pre-turfing fertiliser provided with orders.
