Coronavirus Update

17/02/21 Update

We are greatly anticipating the new turf season and can fulfil more turf orders now the harsh winter weather has largely subsided.

As on online retailer, we will remain open during lockdown and have taken steps to ensure customer and staff safety at all times.

For turf collections, please call us on 01695 422 144 or email our office ahead of time to avoid disappointment and wear a mask or face covering when on our premises.

05/11/20 Update

As the new Government Covid guidelines come into affect, we are continuing to deliver your garden products across the UK on a next day service. As has been the case throughout this uncertain time, deliveries are made in a contact-less fashion to protect you and our delivery drivers.

Following the guidelines, our on-site shop is now closed and unable to take cash orders. If you are looking to pick up turf please contact our team regarding our 'Click & Collect' system.

28/09/20 Update

Social distancing measure continue to be in operation across our business and those who can do so remain working from home.

Deliveries with our haulage partners are still contactless to reduce the possible exposure for everyone involved.

As per previous update, we remain well placed to fulfill all orders and offer next day delivery up to 2pm.

24/06/20 Update

We are delighted to be able to welcome back our Scottish customers, delivery is now available nationwide with the exception of a few difficult to reach islands.

Business is now very close to normal for us, as earlier in the crisis we remain well placed to fulfil all our customers’ orders. On the busiest days we may move our cutoff for next day delivery back from 2pm to earlier in the day but thanks to increased capacity this is a rare exception.

As the situation continues to develop this page will continue to be update.

09/06/20 Update

Our haulage partners are unfortunately still unable to deliver to Scottish postcodes at this time. When this situation changes our site will be updated immediately.

21/04/20 Update

Following up on previous updates, here is what you need to know about our service:

• Orders for collection are currently not allowed due to the Covid-19 outbreak, however we are still taking online orders.
• The majority of team are working remotely, and so you may not always be able to select the next working day as a delivery option.
• The Scottish delivery hub is currently having difficulties with its network - and so we cannot deliver new orders to the following Scottish post codes at this time. (HS, IV, KW, ZE, PH, AB, DD, PA, FK, KY, G, KA, ML, EH, DG, TD, CA)

14/04/2020 Update

We are continuing to assess the ongoing situation as it changes each day. As it stands, we are well placed to continue taking new orders and deliver those already in our system.

Due to some limiting factors, although all turf is still dispatched on a next day delivery service to maintain its condition, you may not always be able to pick the next day working day for delivery when checking out on our site.

We hope you and your loved ones are keeping well during these difficult times.

01/04/2020 Update

Due to the changing circumstances, new orders for Scottish postcodes can sadly no longer be taken. Upon entering the Scottish postcode on our site, you will now unfortunately get the notification that we do not deliver to that postcode.

This is only a short term measure due to the Scottish delivery hub we utilise closing temporarily because of the ongoing pandemic. Once they have reopened and as a Country we begin to get through this crisis, we look forward to again supplying our goods to Scotland.

Postcodes we cannot take new orders for:

HS, IV, KW, ZE, PH, AB, DD, PA, FK, KY, G, KA, ML, EH, DG, TD, CA.

If you have already placed your order to the postcodes above then we will still be delivering your items on your chosen delivery day.

31/03/2020 Update

Following on from our previous update, we still remain open to new orders and are fulfilling existing ones. Our team and haulage partners are working incredibly hard to ensure we can continue to remain open.

We are still experiencing a lot of calls asking if we are still open. Please check this blog for updates instead and only get in touch via phone if urgent.

We will continue to assess Government advice each day and will update this page should anything change.

26/03/2020 Update

We are constantly assessing all Government updates as the situation develops day by day. We remain open to take new orders and believe there should be little disruption to making these deliveries.

Please be advised that our customer service team is currently inundated with information requests, so to avoid longer call times you can instead keep up-to-date with any changes to our services on this page.

Should anything change this page will be updated immediately, please do not call our customer service to double check.

As a result, we will continue to be taking orders and delivering these across the country. As previously detailed, our haulage partners are now conducting 'no-contact' deliveries and you will not be required to sign any paperwork.

Customers are however no longer permitted to visit our location and collect any products. If you require any of our products, please place your order online for delivery.

17/03/2020 Update

These are uncertain times and the impact of the Coronavirus is being felt across the world.

We believe we are well set moving forward and have plans in place to continue supplying orders across the UK on our next day service.

We use three pallet networks for our deliveries, this allows us to have some contingency in our systems and access to a large pool of capacity. These networks are working as normal currently but have tweaked their delivery process to reduce contact. The new procedures see a number of delivery hubs offering no-contact deliveries to minimise risk with, ‘on-screen’ electronic signatures not being taken to reduce the risk of transmission.

So what are we doing?

We are based in the UK and so are following all the latest government advice as it continues to develop.

From our production & distribution teams, we have taken onboard the government advice and have stepped up our hygiene protocols, including significantly increasing all employee hand washing. The human interaction with the turf is also also quite low to begin with.

This article will be kept updated as the days progress and if the situation changes. Business is continuing for us and we look forward to getting your new lawn and/or soil to you as normal, on the day you requested.

Internal changes

Following government advice, most office staff will now be working remotely from home and so there will be very few staff manning the office in person. Customers may still visit our farm in Ormskirk to collect turf orders in person - however to avoid disappointment, please call the team on 01695 422 144 in advance.
