Due to the changing circumstances, new orders for Scottish postcodes can sadly no longer be taken. Upon entering the Scottish postcode on our site, you will now unfortunately get the notification that we do not deliver to that postcode.
This is only a short term measure due to the Scottish delivery hub we utilise closing temporarily because of the ongoing pandemic. Once they have reopened and as a Country we begin to get through this crisis, we look forward to again supplying our goods to Scotland.

If you have already placed your order to the postcodes above then we will still be delivering your items on your chosen delivery day.
Following on from our previous update, we still remain open to new orders and are fulfilling existing ones. Our team and haulage partners are working incredibly hard to ensure we can continue to remain open.

Throughout the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic we have continually followed the latest Government advice and the steps they have taken.
Following the measures the Government have now brought in, closing high street shops and further limiting public gathering, they are encouraging online businesses to continue trading to ensure people who are staying home can still get the things they require.

"Online retail is still open and encouraged and postal and delivery service will run as normal.
As a result, we will continue to be taking orders and delivering these across the country. As previously detailed, our haulage partners are now conducting 'no-contact' deliveries and you will not be required to sign any paperwork.
Customers are however no longer permitted to visit our location and collect any products. If you require any of our products, please place your order online for delivery.
These are uncertain times and the impact of the Coronavirus is being felt across the world.
We believe we are well set moving forward and have plans in place to continue supplying orders across the UK on our next day service.
We use three pallet networks for our deliveries, this allows us to have some contingency in our systems and access to a large pool of capacity. These networks are working as normal currently but have tweaked their delivery process to reduce contact. The new procedures see a number of delivery hubs offering no-contact deliveries to minimise risk with, ‘on-screen’ electronic signatures not being taken to reduce the risk of transmission.

So what are we doing?
We are based in the UK and so are following all the latest government advice as it continues to develop.
From our production & distribution teams, we have taken onboard the government advice and have stepped up our hygiene protocols, including significantly increasing all employee hand washing. The human interaction with the turf is also also quite low to begin with. It is mainly stacked by robots throughout the process and moved on pallets using fork-lift trucks.

Following government advice, most office staff will now be working remotely from home and so there will be very few staff manning the office in person. Customers may still visit our farm in Ormskirk to collect turf orders in person - however to avoid disappointment, please call the team on 01695 422 144 in advance.
Over the winter, Online Turf has been planning to develop a turf stacking robot, due to recent circumstances these plans have been brought forward by several months and so the robot is now in its testing phase. This will not only increase our capacity to fulfil more orders, but will also increase speed, efficiency and result in a higher quality product.
