Microlight GT 450

P&M Aviation won the contract to supply Online Turf with a GT450 Microlight Aircraft. The microlight is used to inspect the 1000-acre turf farm. Joint Managing Director Ian Mercer, who is to be the company pilot, is pleased with the new means of transport. The GT450 microlight arrived during the last week of September 2007.

'It used to take two days to visit each of the 65 different fields across the North West of England. We now expect to be able to get around the entire farm in less than a day.' -- Ian Mercer

Inspecting the fields is an important part of turf production. An inspection is made to  assess mowing schedule, weed control, fertiliser application and many other aspects of turf production.
