Online Turf spend all year caring for the huge turf nursery located in the north west of England. Online Turf also use extravagant means of maintenance such as the micro-lite aeroplane which they use to watch over the turf nursery. With this method they can ensure that the germination is taking place, ensure that the condition of the fields is of highest quality and most importantly to ensure that each turf field is getting the love and care that its needs during the turf production process.

How much turf do I need?

Turf is measured in square meters and sold in rolls. 1 Square meter is equal to 1 roll of turf which helps to keep things simple. A roll of turf is 66 inches long by 24 inches wide and is easily shaped using a Stanley knife. We always recommend over ordering slightly to allow for dealing with corners, borders etc. We are more than happy you work out how much turf you need, firstly have a look at our turf calculator. Turf Types

We have a selection of different types of turf avaliable and we pride ourselves on using great seed mixtures which will produce quality strong turf for our customers. Our customers are only going to want to buy turf once and we want to provide a turf to them which will furfill these needs.

The main types of turf available are the "family lawn turf", we call this one the Stadium Turf, this turf is the most popular line we sell as it is a great back garden turf. If you have children and need a turf that will be strong enough to last the wear and tear of little terrors, then this turf is advised.

The other turf type we offer which is also a common line is the “ornamental turf”, we call this one Aughton Green. The name originates because the turf fields are located in an area called Aughton. This turf is ideal for front gardens and gives that extra special lush look. However it is not ideal for children and does need regular maintenance throughout the summer months. However we have customers that were very pleased with the Aughton green and will recommend it to others.
